Red Curry Paste

What do we use it for? A red curry with coconut milk and bamboo shoots, also known as Kaeng Daeng or Kaeng Phed - แกงเผ็ด

What are the basic ingredients? Shallots, garlic, lemon grass, Thai dried spur red chili, galangal, ground cumin, ground coriander seeds, ground white pepper, shrimp paste (or Thai golden mountain sauce for vegetarian) and coriander roots. Mix them all with a mortar. The spiciness as you guess comes from the dried spur red chili. So if you’d like to spice it up, you can use bird chili (smallest kind of chili; the smaller the chili, the spicier!)

Our fresh curry paste are imported weekly from Thailand! They are available in a 100g packaging or a 1kg on demand. We also have Lobo brand curry which are also quite tasty and handy for travelling with on airplanes
